Welcome to Roots Daycare
Our fully-licensed bilingual English/Russian Roots Daycare is a great place for children with a Russian background to begin their transition into students with a wide array of skills that they will need for their future educational journeys.
Aside from the excellent care, fresh meals prepared daily at the school kitchen, and numerous celebrations, children of Roots Daycare receive an enriched education. The program includes English, French and Russian; math and science; music, drama, dance and puppet shows, and more.
We are excited to be officially enrolled in the CWELCC program and our fees are reflected accordingly. This is to offer more affordable and high-quality childcare and the decreased tuition rates to all our current and future families.

Newly Renovated Facilities
Bright and spacious, our newly renovated building is specifically designed to meet the needs of children of all ages.
Security System
Top of the line security features include timed key-fob access, video monitoring of all exterior and common grounds, and a completely fenced outdoor playground.
Healthy Meals
All childrens' meals are made in-house by our wonderful chefs, with special care taken to ensure all meals are healthy and nutritious.
Outdoor Play
Children have two hours of supervised outdoor play each day (weather permitting) in our private playground, with physical, creative and imaginative games. We also have a fully equipped indoor gym for inclement weather days.
Language Arts
Using play-based learning, we expose children to the English language in various forms, allowing them to learn at their own pace. French and Russian languages are also part of our programming.
Music and Art
Children are given lots of artistic stimulation through arts and crafts, drama, music and dance. A weekly Storytime class combines these elements for a fun, interactive and dramatic re-enactment of familiar children's stories.

Our Philosophy

In our educational centre, children enjoy a carefully designed daily schedule that balances appropriate periods for learning, rest, socialization, and physical activity, bolstered by talented, empathetic educators, wholesome food, and a bright, spacious learning environment.
Our Curriculum
Roots Daycare is officially registered as a bilingual (English and Russian) institution. The vast majority of our program is conducted in English, including all regular daily activities and core lessons. Russian is taught three times a week for thirty minutes, and each classroom has a Russian-speaking educator present at all times.
We believe that the ultimate strength of our daycare program lies in the incredible skill of our educators, many of whom have been with us since the opening of our original educational centre in 2005, and all of whom have a wealth of education and experience in early childhood development.
Our Facilities
Roots Daycare operates on the main floor of our fully renovated and generously equipped educational centre, a spacious freestanding building that features a charming playground and convenient parking area.
We created our daycare centre with meticulous attention to detail. Besides being beautiful, sunny, and comfortable, it's equipped with top-of-the-line amenities that promote safety and brain development in a warm and happy atmosphere.
