Students showcased their knowledge of chess strategy and pattern recognition in the annual RPS Chess Tournament. This tournament consists of 2 rounds: first round by grade in the classroom, and then the winners of each grade move on to compete against winners of other grades. We are proud of all those who participated!
Chess helps students learn to problem solve and develop their critical thinking skills, as well as improve their focus. Visit our program page to learn more about why chess is a part of the Roots curriculum.
